::Fontina-Stuffed, Bacon-Wrapped Dates::

November 1st already?! Craziness! This recipe is a great way to kick off that it's that time of year where we talk about and get ready for the Holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, New Years, Superbowl, etc etc!). This appetizer is easy to make and will "aww" your guests, having them say "What  is in this?" There is a perfect combination of saltiness and heartiness with the bacon, sweetness with the dates, and a creamy cheesey accent with the fontina! This was actually my first time eating fontina cheese and making something with dates! Hope that you all have a wonderful time preparing for the Holiday season...wether it's by lots of baking (which I may do?!), addressing Christmas cards, spending time with family and friends; whatever it is- Enjoy!
Also...maybe I should do a 12 days of Christmas cookies on the blog? Prepare nice baskets or packaged goodies that people can give for the Holidays?
Feedback would be appreciated! ..and any ideas or "wants" you would like for the blog!

::Fontina-Stuffed, Baon-Wrapped Dates::

Prepare 3-4 dates (or more!) per person
Fresh dates
Fontina cheese, cut to fit inside the dates
Bacon, cut into 3″ pieces
1. Preheat broiler and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Slit the dates open, keeping the bottom in tact. Place a piece of cheese inside each date. Wrap bacon around the stuffed date, overlapping the ends on the bottom.
3. Broil for approximately 5 minutes. Keep a close eye on them so they don’t burn!

Recipe from: Brown Eyed Baker

The only 3 ingredients!

The dates!
Speaking of dates...went on a date last night with my wonderful husband. We went to Red and it was a great movie!
