What to do with all that SAUSAGE?!....

Even though my heart is in the nursing profession...there is a part of my heart that will always be with Weber Meats (located in Reynolds, ND). This was the most fun, laid back job I have held in which I had the two greatest bosses and alot of awesome co-workers. I worked at this butcher shop for about four years, and in those four years I learned many cuts of meat, bagged alot of sausage, and heard alot of wive's comments when they came to pick up their husband's meat; "What are we going to do with all of this?!"
I have always gone hunting with my grandpa, dad, and brother for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed it. The first year I was able to get a tag, I did, and I always enjoy it and the final product of it all; the meat. Yes, if all you do is boil it, I'm sure it would be sickening, but that is where you have to get creative. Maybe i'm not so creative and you all have tried this, but, I created my own dish for sausage. I haven't put a name to it, or have written down the recipe, but I guess now is the time and I'll leave that up to you all....post a comment on what you think this dish should be called and get your friends to check out this blog and post what they think. What ever recipe name I pick, I will send that person something. :)

1 Ring of Sausage
Sweet Potatoes
Regular potatoes
Onion
Garlic Salt
Onion Salt
Pepper
2 cans Cream of Celery Soup
Milk
Directions: Place sausage in casserole dish and top with decent size chunks of potatoes (I usually do about two of each). Cut onion into chunks and place over potatoes and then sprinkle with seasonings. Mix together soup and milk until you have a consistency like cake or pancake batter (sorry folks, I never measured the milk). Cover and put in the oven at 350 for an hour or until the meat is done and potatoes are tender! Enjoy
Variation: This recipe is foolproof and is hard to mess up, so if you have a larger family just add more stuff. Also, I mixed it up a little one time and did 1 can cream of celery soup mix, 1 can nacho cheese soup mix, 1 can rotel, and a little bit of jalapenos and milk.
Also, if this isn't your cup of tea, but you still don't want to boil the sausage; throw it on the grill or boil it and then drain the water out and brown it or bake it in the oven, plain, with potatoes.
Enjoy!
PS:
For all the wives, enjoy your husband's sausage!
(Keep that comment "G" rated)
This particular time; I used sausage patties
Doesn't that make you want to bite right in?
Sweet potatoes are a great compliment to this dish.
