::Blueberry Salad::

Need to bring a salad to a potluck, party, or someother function, but don't know what salad to make? Try this one. I was given this recipe from my mother-in-law who had had it at a funeral and everyone there was saying how good it was! They did some investigating and found out who made it and then retrieved the recipe from them-Thank you! For some reason, which i'm not sure why, I made this in a bar pan, when I really should have made it in a nice trifle or salad bowl! Also, remember on my previous post of "Homemade Whipped Cream"? I served the whipped cream with this dessert, which was a nice addition to it. Anyways, this is a nice dessert because it isn't some caramel fudge brownie cookie dough blizzard with whip cream kinda' bar; it's more light and refreshing! Enjoy!
Blueberry Salad
2 pkg. black cherry Jell-O
2 c. boiling water
1 small can crushed pineapple
1 can blueberry pie filling
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
Chopped nuts

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add pineapple and pie filling. Refrigerate until set. mix together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla; stir in sour cream; spread over gelatin and sprinkle with nuts.

Imagine this is a nice trifle bowl and not in a glass pyrex pan :)
Cream cheese mixture.

Spread on top of set jell-o.

Ready to eat...along with some whipped cream!

  1. Maxi,
    I have this recipe, except it has 2 boxes of grape jello. When I make it I put it in a clear glass bowl, yummy and pretty!
